The lab finally made it out to dinner together to celebrate a backlog of milestones! Syd Sattler (lower right) delivered an impressive qualifying exam presentation and passed with flying colors. Syd also recently heard that she was selected as a Curci Fellow, which will provide three years of support to study myeloid cell evolution in killifish! In addition, I received a grant to support Syd’s project from the Royalty Research Fund. I am overjoyed that people believe in the annual killifish model and our team.
