Matt Pomaville was recently awarded a T32 from the Biological Mechanisms of Healthy Aging Training Program to study the evolution of apoptosis in annual killifish and zebrafish. Matt plans to use comparative transcriptomics to identify the underlying mechanism that makes killifish resistant to apoptosis and how this may ultimately affect lifespan. We are grateful for this opportunity from the Healthy Aging and Longevity Research Institute at UW!
